Upcoming Event: R.E. Lee/Washington Cocktail Reception

The Lynchburg Chapter will host a Cocktail Reception celebrating the birthdays of Robert E. Lee and George Washington. This great event will take place at the Boonsboro Country Club on February 23, 2010 with a 6 p.m. start time.

Chapter event at Jefferson’s Poplar Forest

Over 100 alumni, faculty, former faculty and friends of W&L attended the Lynchburg Chapter ‘mega event’ at Thomas Jefferson’s villa retreat, Poplar Forest. Guests from the Roanoke, Rockbridge, Ablemarle and Lynchburg Chapters enjoyed the cocktail reception, lecture and tour of Poplar Forest – lead by W&L faculty member, Pamela Simpson and Travis McDonald, Director of Architectural Restoration at Poplar Forest.
